ASTM A350 LF2 Self Reinforeced Nozzle For Cryogenic Pressure Vessels and Systems

ASTM A350 LF2 is a low-temperature carbon steel forging material that requires mandatory notch toughness testing. It is a specific grade within the ASTM A350 standard. Its excellent resistance to brittle fracture in low-temperature environments makes it widely used in the manufacture of pressure-bearing piping components such as flanges, valves, and fittings. It is particularly suitable for applications requiring low temperatures or high toughness, such as liquefied natural gas (LNG) and petrochemical cold zones.

The ASTM A350 LF2 Self-Reinforced Nozzle is a nozzle made of LF2-grade forged steel with -46°C impact toughness. Its inherently thickened wall meets the ASME specification for opening reinforcement, eliminating the need for external reinforcement rings. This design is particularly suitable for applications requiring high low-temperature toughness and structural simplicity. Design and manufacturing must strictly adhere to the ASME BPVC specification.
