ASTM A182 F316L BSP Union And Hex Nipple Pressure Forgings
ASTM A182 F316L BSP Union and Hex Nipple are pipe connectors forged from F316L stainless steel (compliant with ASTM A182 standards). They have excellent corrosion resistance (especially resistance to chlorides, acids and high temperature environments) and are suitable for harsh scenarios such as chemical, marine, food and medicine. Among them:
Union (slip joint): uses BSP British standard threads (conical BSPT or parallel BSPP), consisting of a nut, an internal thread end and an external thread end, supports quick disassembly and assembly, and is convenient for maintaining pumps, valves or filters;
Hex Nipple (hexagonal short): Both ends are BSP external threads, and the middle is a hexagonal wrench position, which is used to extend pipelines, adapt pipe fittings or install instruments.
Both meet the ASME B16.11 pressure rating and have an operating temperature range of -200°C to +800°C (short term). When purchasing, it is necessary to specify the thread type (BSPT/BSPP), size and surface treatment requirements (such as electrolytic polishing), and request a material quality certificate (MTR) to ensure material compliance.
