ASTM A268 TP405 Ferritic And Martensitic Stainless Steel Seamless Tube Heat Treatment Equipment
ASTM A268 TP405 (UNS S40500) seamless tube is a ferritic stainless steel tube containing 11.5%-14.5% chromium, 0.1%-0.3% aluminum, and carbon content ≤0.08%. It meets the performance requirements of high temperature oxidation resistance and welding sensitization resistance in ASTM A268 standard. It is made into seamless tubes by hot rolling or cold drawing process. It has good thermal stability and formability.
It is suitable for automobile exhaust systems, heat treatment furnace tubes, low-corrosion environment structural parts and high-temperature equipment components. Its ferrite structure effectively avoids the risk of intergranular corrosion after welding and meets the oxidation resistance and mechanical strength requirements under medium and high temperature (≤800°C) working conditions.
In industry, it is widely used in the manufacture of automobile exhaust manifolds due to its resistance to high-temperature oxidation and welding sensitization. It can maintain structural stability even when directly exposed to high-temperature engine exhaust gas (600°C~800°C).
It is used as a furnace conveyor roller in the heat treatment production line to withstand long-term thermal cycle shock. At the same time, because it does not require complex heat treatment after welding, it has become the preferred material for low-cost assembled boiler flue support tubes, especially suitable for small and medium-sized manufacturing companies to balance the needs of heat resistance and cost control.

Advantages of ASTM A268 TP430Ti seamless tube
1. Excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking (SCC)
2. High temperature oxidation resistance
3. High cost-effectiveness, material cost is greatly reduced compared with nickel-containing austenitic stainless steel (such as 304, 316).
4. Good processing and weldability
5. Resistance to high temperature sulfidation and oxidation
6. Environmental adaptability Fresh water and weak acid environment, thermal cycle stability.
