API661 Air Fan Cooled Dosh, Mol, TRCU For Russia, CRN For Canada
An air cooler comprises four fundamental elements:
Tube Bundles: The core heat transfer unit, consisting of finned tubes arranged in rows. These tubes are fabricated from materials like carbon steel, stainless steel, or duplex alloys (e.g., SA213-TP304, SA789-S31803). Fins (often aluminum) are mechanically bonded to the tubes (e.g., extruded, "L" wrap-on) to amplify the heat exchange surface area by 10–24 times, compensating for air’s low thermal conductivity.
Axial Fans: High-efficiency fans drive airflow across the tube bundles. They are categorized into forced draft (fans below the bundle) or induced draft (fans above the bundle), with the latter preventing hot air recirculation and enhancing thermal performance.
Structural Framework: A steel or alloy framework supports the tube bundles and fans, ensuring stability under operational stresses and environmental conditions (e.g., wind, vibration).
Headers and Louvers: Headers distribute fluid evenly into the tubes, while adjustable louvers regulate airflow to optimize cooling efficiency and adapt to seasonal temperature variations.
