ASTM B564 N04400 Monel 400 Nickel Alloy Steel Forged Blind Raised Face Flange B16.5
ASTM B564 N04400 nickel alloy steel forged blind raised face flange is a flange manufactured based on nickel copper alloy (Monel 400, UNS N04400), which complies with the B564 standard of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). This material is known for its excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and high temperature resistance, and is widely used in pipeline connection systems in extremely corrosive environments.
ASTM B564 specifies the manufacturing requirements for N04400 nickel alloy steel forged flange, covering the chemical composition, mechanical properties, and testing standards of products such as flanges and fittings. Its main chemical components are nickel (Ni) ≥ 63%, copper (Cu) 28-34%, small amounts of iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), carbon (C), etc.

The core performance advantages of ASTM B564 N04400 mainly lie in corrosion resistance, mechanical properties, processing and weldability:
In terms of corrosion resistance, N04400 nickel alloy steel has strong resistance to seawater corrosion, acid and alkaline medium corrosion, and can be applied to marine platforms and ship systems. It also maintains stable performance in non oxidizing acids such as hydrofluoric acid and sulfuric acid, as well as high-temperature alkaline environments;
In terms of mechanical properties, N04400 nickel alloy steel material has high strength, high temperature resistance, low temperature toughness, tensile strength not less than 550MPa, yield strength not less than 240MPa, can work for a long time below 500 ℃, can withstand higher temperatures in the short term (avoiding oxidation environment), and still maintain good ductility at -100 ℃;
In terms of processing, it is necessary to control the processing rate to avoid hardening of N04400 nickel alloy steel material. The recommended hot working temperature is 650-1175 ℃. In terms of welding technology, TIG, MIG or shielded metal arc welding can be used, and it is recommended to use Monel welding material (such as ENiCu-7).
