ASTM A335 P11 Alloy Steel High Frequency Welding Serrated Fin Tube for HRSG and Boiler

What is High Frequency Welding Fin Tube?

ASTM A335 P11 Alloy Steel High Frequency Welding (HFW) Serrated Fin Tube is a specialized component designed for high-efficiency heat transfer in demanding industrial environments. This product combines advanced material science, precision welding technology, and innovative fin design to optimize performance in high-temperature and high-pressure applications.

ASTM A335 P11 Alloy Steel High Frequency Welding Serrated Fin Tube For HRSG And Boiler

Material: ASTM A335 P11 Alloy Steel

A chromium-molybdenum (Cr-Mo) alloy steel with approximately 1.25% Cr and 0.5% Mo, complying with ASTM A335 standards for seamless ferritic alloy-steel pipes.

Offers exceptional high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance, and creep resistance (deformation under prolonged stress at elevated temperatures).

Suitable for operating temperatures up to 600°C, making it ideal for thermal power plants, refineries, and chemical processing.

Manufacturing Process: High Frequency Welding (HFW)

The base tube is formed by longitudinally welding a steel strip using high-frequency electrical currents, creating a robust, seamless-like bond without filler material.

Ensures high production efficiency and consistent weld quality. Post-weld heat treatment may be applied to relieve stresses and enhance microstructural integrity.

Design: Serrated Fins

Fins are mechanically attached to the tube's exterior, featuring serrated (notched) edges to disrupt fluid flow, enhance turbulence, and improve heat transfer efficiency.

Compared to smooth fins, serrated designs increase the heat exchange surface area and thermal performance, albeit with a manageable increase in pressure drop.

Properties and Benefits

Enhanced Heat Transfer: Serrated fins maximize thermal efficiency by breaking boundary layers and promoting turbulent flow.

Durability: The Cr-Mo alloy resists oxidation, corrosion, and creep, ensuring longevity under cyclic thermal stresses.

Reliability: HFW ensures a strong, defect-free weld, critical for high-pressure systems.

Applications

Power Generation: Boilers, superheaters, and heat recovery systems in coal-fired or gas-fired plants.

Petrochemical Industry: Heat exchangers in refineries and chemical reactors requiring corrosion resistance.

Waste Incineration: Systems exposed to aggressive flue gases and high temperatures.
