Stainless Steel ASTM A182 F310 Weldneck Flange RTJ For Oil And Gas
A182 F310 weldneck flange is a type of flange made from A182 F310 stainless steel material. This flange is designed with a neck that is welded to the pipe, providing a strong and leak-proof connection. It is commonly used in high temperature and corrosive environments where high strength and resistance to oxidation are required.
Weld neck flanges are used in high pressure environments and are easily identifiable due to their tapered hub. Moreover, weld neck flanges are particularly suitable for use in repeated bending conditions. These flanges are connected to the piping system by welding the pipe to the flange neck. Therefore, stainless steel grades with good weldability are preferred for fabricating it. WNRF not only reduces stress concentration at the bottom of the hub but also helps in transferring stress from the flange to the pipe.
Features of stainless steel 310:
High temperature resistance:
310 stainless steel is known for its good high temperature resistance. Withstands temperatures up to 1150°C (2100°F) in continuous operation and up to 1230°C (2250°F) in intermittent operation.
Corrosion resistance:
This grade of stainless steel exhibits excellent corrosion resistance, especially in mildly corrosive environments. It resists oxidation and scaling, making it suitable for applications involving high temperatures.
Strength and durability:
Stainless steel 310 or pipe flanges are known for their high strength and durability. It maintains its mechanical properties at both high and low temperatures, providing reliability under a wide range of operating conditions.
ASME SA182 SS 310 flanges can generally be easily cold formed using standard methods and equipment. F310 flanges have machining properties comparable to F304 flanges. Also known as WNR 1.4841 flanges, these grades are welded using matching electrodes and filler metal. We also offer similar customized sizes and shapes as per the demands of our esteemed clients.
