What is baffle ?

The baffle is a parallel partition installed on the inner wall of the shell and tube heat exchanger shell. Baffles are an important part of shell and tube heat exchangers. Its setting can improve the heat transfer effect of the heat exchanger and also provide certain support for the heat exchange tube (horizontal type). Setting up baffles also facilitates the installation of heat exchange tubes.

What is tubesheet ?

A tube sheet is a plate which is used to support the tubes in a shell-and-tube heat exchanger. The tubes are aligned in a parallel way, and supported and held in place by tube sheets. The tube sheet is a circular plate which is perforated so that the tubes can fit through the openings.
