The function of the fin is to enhance the heat dissipation area of the radiator, thereby increasing its contact surface with air and improving the heat transfer efficiency of the finned air radiator. In contrast, without fins, the heat transfer efficiency of a plain tube is significantly reduced. Steel fins are commonly used in practical applications. Different forms of air intake in radiators result in varying local pressures and overall equipment pressure, thus impacting fan efficiency and subsequently affecting heat dissipation performance.

Generally, the distance between the fin tube and the fan in the radiator is certain. If the spacing changes, on the one hand, the natural convection heat transfer of heat dissipation will change, and on the other hand, the uniformity of wind speed of the finned tube will be affected. The heat dissipation performance of the end device is affected. Under the influence of forced convection, the distance between the fin tube and the fan also affects the air temperature velocity uniformity of the outlet, the temperature distribution of the fin surface and the heat dissipation performance of the radiator. Reasonable adjustment of the distance between the fin tube and the fan is the basic requirement of the radiator design.
