ASTM A789 / ASME SA789 S31803 Duplex Steel Tube
ASTM A789 S31803 is a standard specification for seamless and welded ferritic/austenitic stainless steel tubing for general service. S31803 is a duplex stainless steel, which means it has a two-phase microstructure consisting of both austenitic and ferritic phases. This type of steel offers excellent corrosion resistance and high strength, making it suitable for use in a wide range of applications, including chemical processing, oil and gas, and marine environments. The ASTM A789 specification covers tubes in sizes ranging from 1/8 inch to 5 inches in outside diameter, with wall thicknesses ranging from 0.015 inch to 0.500 inch.
