What is tubesheet ?

A tube sheet is a plate which is used to support the tubes in a shell-and-tube heat exchanger. The tubes are aligned in a parallel way, and supported and held in place by tube sheets. The tube sheet is a circular plate which is perforated so that the tubes can fit through the openings.

Description

C71500 is an alloy of copper and nickel, and because Ni is infinitely soluble in Cu, C71500 has a single alpha phase structure. C71500 alloy not only has good comprehensive mechanical properties, but also becomes easy to weld due to thermal conductivity close to carbon steel, no preheating is required before welding, and no heat treatment is required after welding.

C71500 is 70Cu-30Ni alloy, mainly composed of Cu and Ni, containing a small amount of Mn and Fe, which can better prevent seawater corrosion, limiting impurity elements Zn, C, Pb, S, P, etc., can improve the thermoelectric rate and weldability.

Corrosion resistance of C71500 in seawater

: Cu-ni alloy shows good corrosion resistance in seawater, on the one hand, because Cu itself has a low electrode potential, it is difficult to directly oxidizing Cu in neutral seawater; In addition, it is also because Cu can form a protective oxidation product film in seawater, preventing further corrosion reactions.
