Stainless Steel Flange ASTM A182 F321H B16.5 Nuclear Power Plant

Overview

Stainless steel 321H flanges have oxidation resistance to 16,000°F.
Developed to provide an 18-8 type alloy with improved resistance to intergranular corrosion. SS 321H flanges do not exhibit weld rot (intergranular corrosion) in mildly corrosive environments. SS 321H blind flanges are a titanium-stabilized chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel with good strength and excellent corrosion resistance, supplied in the annealed condition. SS 321H plate flanges can be easily formed and drawn.
However, higher pressure requirements and more springback are encountered than with carbon and ferritic stainless steels. Stress Relief - Heat this stainless steel 321H socket eld flange up to 700°C for 1 to 2 hours with air cooling. s$ 321H threaded flange contains 18% chromium, 8% nickel and a significant addition of titanium.

Characteristic of ASTM A182 F321H

High temperature resistance: It has good high temperature resistance and can maintain good strength and corrosion resistance under high temperature environment.
Corrosion resistance: It has good corrosion resistance, especially for chloride and sulfuric acid and other corrosive media with good resistance.
High strength: It has high tensile strength and yield strength, making it suitable for high strength requirements of engineering applications.
Weldability: It has good weldability, can be connected by various common welding methods.
