Overview
TP347H is a high carbon version of TP347, a stabilized austenitic stainless steel with good general corrosion resistance. TP347H Stainless Steel Seamless Tubes have excellent high-temperature properties and are typically used in applications involving elevated temperatures such as in the manufacturing of superheaters, heat exchangers, boiler tubes, and other high-temperature applications in industries like power generation, oil & gas, chemical processing, and more.
Alloy 347 is a stable austenitic chromium steel containing niobium, which can eliminate carbide precipitation and thus eliminate intergranular corrosion. Alloy 347 is stabilized by adding chromium and tantalum, and provides higher creep and stress fracture properties than alloys 304 and 304L, which can also be used for exposure that requires attention to sensitization and intergranular corrosion. The addition of colchicum also gives alloy 347 excellent corrosion resistance, even better than alloy 321. 347H is the form with a higher carbon content in alloy 347 and exhibits improved high-temperature and strain resistance.
When considering the use of TP347H stainless steel tubes compared to other stainless steel grades, several advantages stand out. Here are some specific advantages of using TP347H over other stainless steel grades in certain applications:
Overall, the specific advantages of TP347H stainless steel over other grades make it a preferred choice in applications where high-temperature performance, corrosion resistance, and stability are primary considerations. Proper material selection based on the specific requirements of the application is essential to maximize the benefits of using TP347H stainless steel tubes.
