Stud finned tubes are produced by resistance welding studs on bare tubes.
The fins are made by welding the fin material, which is a stud or rod welded to the tube at the bottom by the resistance process.
Electricity flows through the tube and the bottom of the stud. The shape of the stud is specially designed to facilitate the welding process. Stallion; during the "welding" of the fins, is also mechanically pressed against the tube at the weld point, resulting in a very good mechanical bond. This type of finned tube works well in high pressure and high temperature applications. The mechanical bond is very strong and can therefore be used where extreme mechanical loads are applied, where stresses are expected, eg during machining or cleaning.
These finned tubes can be used in finned tubes, air coolers, heat exchangers, etc., and are the first choice for industries such as petrochemical refineries, power plants, chemical industries, and steel mills.
Features of Stud Finned Tubes / Stud Finned Tubes:-
Manufacturing Process:- Resistance Welding
Fin-Tube Bonding:- Excellent
Heat Transfer Efficiency: - Excellent
Mechanical Resistance:- Excellent (thus unlike other finned tubes it can be cleaned frequently with high pressure jets. Thus reducing downtime and increasing overall lifespan)
Corrosion Protection:- Provides excellent corrosion protection to the base pipe as it completely covers the base pipe (except the exposed ends).
Temperature range:- depends on material properties of fins (studs) and pipes
Manufacturing Range (Stud Finned Tube):-
For applications such as heat recovery systems, furnaces and boilers used in the refining and petrochemical industries, ZAFFERTEC S.L. supplies finned tubes, stud tubes, flat tubes, U-tubes and discs etc. from leading European manufacturers.
Our factory facilities enable our producers to offer a wide variety of fins, studs, tubing and size combinations according to our customers' needs. We provide products with minimized production issues and testing time of equipment.
Finned tube:
We supply the highest quality welded finned tubes by High Frequency Resistance Welding (FRW) machines. The steel fins can be solid or serrated and are helically wound and continuously welded to the tube by the HFW system. The size and dimensions of the fins can be adjusted according to customer requirements.
Finned Tube OD: 1" to 8"
Fin thickness: 0.9 to 3 mm
Inlaid tube:
The studs are welded to the pipe using resistance welding, which produces high quality welds. Stud tubes are preferred over finned tubes in heat transfer systems in petrochemical plants where surfaces are exposed to highly corrosive environments such as dirty gases or liquids. These pipes should be resistant to corrosive materials and must be cleaned frequently.
Mounting tube outer diameter: 60 to 220 mm
Packaging and Handling:
Proper packaging of finned and stud tubes is extremely important to ensure their e transport to their final destination. Finned plates and riveted components are very sensitive to any impact during transport. YUHONG takes full responsibility for the e packaging of these products. We typically pack in wooden cases, steel cases, and crates, then crate or box into intermodal containers for ocean shipment, or onto trucks for road transport.
