ASTM A269 seamless stainless steel tubing for low and high temperature service. These pipes can be made from austenitic steel using resistance welding, electrofusion welding or seamless cold drawn mechanisms. SA269 tubing is also available in different finishes and can be heat treated. SA 269 Tp 316 is more corrosion resistant than 304 material type and can be used in high pressure and high temperature as well as low pressure and low temperature applications. Therefore, SA 269 Tp 304 and ASTM A269 Tp316l material grade pipes have different schedules. ASTM A269 Tp316 pipe is used for high pressure and high temperature services such as hydraulic systems. Additional specifications for ASTM A269 pipe are available in the textile, chemical and marine industries. ASTM A269 has very high tolerances for chloride-rich environments and most oxidizers. Therefore, ASTM A269 seamless stainless steel pipe is ideal for the chemical and marine industries. In addition, ASTM A269 seamless pipe has good corrosion resistance for general use. ASTM A269 SS pipe is widely used in these industries due to its accuracy in size, strength and corrosion resistance.
