Hastelloy C-276 Fittings refers to factory fabricated wrought nickel alloy fittings manufactured in accordance with ASTM B366 UNS N10276. May be specified as CRHC276 (Corrosion Resistant Fittings) or WPHC276 (ASME Pressure Fittings). Fittings can be made from ASTM B619, B622, B626 UNS N10276 pipe or tubing, ASTM B575 UNS N10276 plate, sheet or strip, ASTM B564, B462, B472, B574 Gr forgings or bars. N10276. Hastelloy C-276 pipe fittings mainly provide 3 connection methods: butt welding, thread, socket welding, covering a variety of standard specifications.

What is Hastelloy C22?

Hastelloy C22, also known as Alloy C22, is a general purpose austenitic nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy with enhanced resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. High chromium content provides good oxidation resistance, while molybdenum and tungsten content provides good reduction resistance. This nickel steel alloy also has excellent resistance to oxidative aqueous media, including wet chlorine and mixtures of nitric or chloride-containing oxidizing acids. Other Corrosive Substances Hastelloy C-22 is resistant to oxidizing acid chlorides, wet chlorine, formic and acetic acids, ferric and copper chlorides, seawater, brine and many mixed or contaminated organic and inorganic chemical solutions. This nickel alloy also has the best resistance to environments that encounter reducing and oxidizing conditions in the process stream. This is good for multi-purpose plants where this "uneasy" situation often occurs.

This nickel alloy resists the formation of grain boundary deposits in the weld heat affected zone, making it suitable for most chemical process applications in as-welded conditions.

Alloy C-22 should not be used above 1250°F because of the formation of deleterious phases above this temperature.

1.1 This specifification covers UNS N08904, UNS N08925, and UNS N08926 seamless, cold-worked or hot-fifinished pipe and tube intended for general corrosive service.
